If you have paid your membership in full for the year: You can stop by the reception desk or fill out a cancellation form below. A pro-rated refund will be sent to you by our Association office. If you wish to cancel a YMCA membership, contact your local YMCA first to find out the cancellation policy to find out what requirements are met. For example, they may have a withdrawal form that you can fill out online and that you need 10 days in advance. Alternatively, they may ask you to cancel in person with at least 30 days` notice. Once you know the policies of your local YMCA, follow their cancellation instructions and give them several days to process your application. After a few days, confirm that your membership has been cancelled by calling or emailing your local YMCA office and providing your YMCA membership number. Applications must be submitted no later than the 25th of the month preceding the month in which cancellation is requested. Membership refunds are only permitted if there are extenuating circumstances that prevented you from notifying the YMCA of your termination. Program participants only are not eligible for national membership. Special memberships (group homes, Silver Sneakers, Silver & Fit, other agencies, etc.) are not eligible. CANCELLATIONS We would hate to see you leave, but if you decide to cancel your membership, you must notify the YMCA in writing at least 2 weeks before your provisional termination date. Membership in your local YMCA gives you access to health and wellness services in your community. However, you may choose to cancel your membership due to your finances, preferences, or a permanent move out of the country. Be sure to inform your local YMCA branch in advance of your cancellation. Then, process your cancellation by completing the necessary paperwork and submitting them to the YMCA. You may need to change your membership for several reasons: add a child, remove an adult child, change address, change bank account, etc. If you need to change any of your membership information, please complete a simple YMCA change form at your local YMCA member service office. In accordance with the US Department of Justice and the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 15.09.2010 and its updated guidelines specifically for service animals of 15.03.2011. The YMCA is a gun-free and smoke-free environment (vaping). This includes any type of device or object that could be used or perceived as a weapon. Members are expected to purchase a membership at the branch they plan to use most of the time. Members can use all YMCA of Greater Philadelphia branches. We reserve the right to transfer a membership if a member violates the policy. The Y will inform the member 30 days in advance of the transfer. This Code of Conduct does not authorize comments or actions that may offend or frighten another person or that fall within a generally accepted standard of conduct. This includes inappropriate clothing, angry or vulgar language, physical contact with another person in an angry or threatening manner, any demonstration of sexual contact or sexual activity, harassment or intimidation through words, gestures, body language or any other threatening behavior, theft or behavior that results in the destruction of property. Parents are held responsible for the behavior of their children. The YMCA conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members, participants and guests.
If a sex offender match occurs, the YMCA reserves the right to terminate membership, terminate participation in the program, and remove access to visits. To ensure the physical and mental well-being of all participants, the minimum age to train in the wellness center is 10 years. Participants aged 10 and 11 can use the wellness centre under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian who is a full member. Participants must be at least 12 years old or in Grade 7 to train alone. Teens and teens should also contact a wellness coach before starting their training. . Please note that termination of membership requires written notice 15 days prior to the project date. KidZone (formerly Child Watch) is a value-added benefit for members and is included in the cost of full privileges for adults, seniors or family members. It is not available for teens, teens, or program members. This service is offered on-site with convenient drop-in times that vary by location. Opening hours may change around public holidays. Prior registration is not required and KidZone operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
This service is designed to help parents use the facility. Parents must stay at the YMCA and are limited to two hours per day. Parents are contacted to pick up their children if there are any problems. The YMCA of Greater Philadelphia has zero tolerance for abuse, abuse, or sexual activity among members/participants within the organization. The Y is committed to providing a safe environment for all members/participants and does not tolerate mistreatment or abuse of one member by another member. Members` behaviour that reaches the level of abuse, maltreatment or sexual activity results in interventions or disciplinary measures up to and including dismissal from the program. In addition, the Y does not tolerate behaviours classified under the definition of bullying, and to the extent that such actions are disruptive, the Y will take the necessary steps to eliminate such behaviour. WE PROHIBIT ABUSE OR MISTREATMENT OF OUR MEMBERS/PARTICIPANTS We reserve the right to deny access to membership to persons whose conduct is contrary to the well-being and safety of other members and/or employees. This includes a person who is a registered sex offender; has pleaded guilty or been convicted of a crime of sexual abuse; or a crime against persons such as a child, spouse or parental abuse.
It also includes any crime related to the sale or transportation of illegal, addictive or dangerous drugs; is currently clearly under the influence of intoxicating drinks or behaviour-modifying drugs. The following form is considered a written notification. The YMCA will contact you to review your cancellation. If you discover an error on our part and report it within 60 days, we will correct our error and refund you the corresponding amount. There will be no refund of incorrect payments after 60 days. The YMCA of Greater Philadelphia reserves the right to revoke or deny membership privileges if a member: The YMCA of Greater Philadelphia has zero tolerance for abuse and does not tolerate mistreatment or abuse of members and participants in its programs. Any mistreatment or mistreatment by an employee or volunteer will result in disciplinary action, including termination or voluntary service and cooperation with law enforcement. We understand that children like to try new classes to find the one they like. You may cancel the Program at any time prior to the start of the Program. You will receive a full refund as an ActiveNet account balance that can be used for another program of your choice or for the original payment method. .
